Mike Hughes

Mike Hughes is very serious. He is an experienced performer, teacher and workshop leader and has studied physical and image-based theatre. For the past 8 years he has taught improvisation extensively throughout Europe and Canada. As an actor, Mike has worked with Geordie Theatre, the Segal Centre, Tableau D’Hôte, the Montreal Young Company and Gravy Bath, which he co-founded. Influenced by his Theatre and Development studies at Concordia University, Mike recently co-founded a Youth Theatre project in Munich, Germany, which brings together children from various social and cultural backgrounds with the idea of generating theatre FOR youths, created BY youths. Recently, Mike performed his own choreography as part of Co/Motion Farm’s Dance Week. He currently performs the role of Alberti in Cirque du Soleil’s North American production of Dralion.
